I had upper eyelid surgery with lower skin pinch 3 months ago. The scars seem deep and extend to the side of my face. I feel like I have a road map next to my eyes. My eyelids are puffy you seem uneven. The doctor told me it looks fine and only I can notice because I'm so judgemental about myself. Is there anything I can do for second opinion can I do laser? Anything to get rid of this

Thank you for your pictures and questions. Scars on the eyelids tend to heal very well and be almost invisible with time. The key there is "with time." It can take 6-12 months for scars to fully settle and heal, so you have to be patient. There might have been some things done to disguise the scars better but what is done and done and the best thing you can do now is scar management. Use silicone gels (I like BioCorneum) to treat the scars and make sure to do scar massage and keep them out of the sun or use SPF on them daily. You do still have some visible scars and some edema.  The edema will continue to improve.  For the scars, you should do some massage and use some silicone scar cream.  You can also do some laser for the scars which can improve them significantly.  Eyelid scars usually fade nicely with time as well.

Eyelid tissues are very specialized and respond to surgery differently than other tissues.  Your concern about the location of the incisions seems valid based on your photographs.  Additionally, I would agree that significant swelling after 3 months is unusual.  You should consider seeking outside consultation for a second opinion, ideally from an Oculoplastic Surgeon who can offer reassurance, or a plan for improvement/correction.

Hi,I routinely use a CO2 laser on my surgical patients to minimize the chance of scarring. There can be mild scabbing and some redness after the laser treatment but it will soften the scar. Of note, it does take a full year for a scar to mature and in all likelihood your incision will look better with time.Best,
