I would agree with the dermatologist that you saw and try the Vbeam laser to treat the hemangioma on your lip.  This is a low risk procedure that could give you good results.

The laser will likely give you good results on your lip, but your doctor is correct in that it might require more than one treatment to have the full effect. Vbeam laser is very effective for superficial fine facial vessels and I have used pulsed dye and then the Vbeam laser in thousands of patients since the early1990s but it is not effective for deeper lesions such as hemangiomas and some venous lakes of the lip. VBeam is great for reds and purples. Like capillaries and blood. So it's a great option for your hemangioma. This is actually why VBeam was originally developed years and years ago - for hemangiomas and port wine stains.
