I have been pretty anxious and paranoid that something is going to go wrong . It's now been 8 days but it's still uncomfortable to sleep the tightness is real . I was very small chested before and got 425cc textured silicone implants high profile. I've seen lots of other girls who heal a lot faster I'm just wondering if this looks normal? Also I have burning and tightness in my left muscle next to my armpit, to the point of very restless sleep, I was wondering how common this is?
Answer: Hematoma? Thank you for your question. It is difficult to assess for a hematoma without seeing you in person. Please see your plastic surgeon for an in-person assessment.

Answer: Post Op Concerns - Bruising Hi roverton420, Thank you for your question and photos. It is not unusual to experience some bruising after breast augmentation surgery. Also, tightness may also be experienced as the tissues around the implants are still swollen following the surgery. However, if you experience significant change in the size of your breast and that the bruising persists, it is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for an in-person examination. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery

Answer: 8 days post op Since you stated you were small chested prior to the surgery it is normal that you would have a very tight feeling during recovery. The burning sensation you mention is likely nerves that are being affected due to the swelling. I encourage you to communicate with your surgeon regarding your concerns and measures you can take for comfort during your recovery. At this point the photos you provided appear to be normal healing.

Answer: 8 days I would see your PS for reassurance. Often you can get bruising such as this at this time. Sometimes this is due to over compressive garments and best that your PS sees you and reassures you in person.

Answer: Today is day 8 post-op breast augmentation. I'm wondering if these bruises are normal? It is important for you to see her plastic surgeon for an examination. It is impossible to tell from a photograph with the have a hematoma but your history of tightness and pain suggest you may have a hematoma or bleeding inside on breast. Your doctors examination or possibly an ultrasound will determine this. If you do have a hematoma the blood needs to be removed soon. Senior surgeon and do not rely on the Internet advice.
