I am 6 months post op from my BA and I feel my doctor used a smaller size than we agreed on. After trying sizers we agreed to 600–650 ccs. On the day of surgery I was again told we were doing 550 implants overfilled to 600 ccs. Since the day of surgery I’ve felt like my breast looked smaller than they should have according to the size implant we agreed on. The stickers on my implant card say they are 425 cc implants on the stickers. The written part on the front of my card says 600.
Answer: Implant size I would begin by expressing your concerns to your surgeon. Saline implants can be filled past their stated size. You can also a request a copy of your surgical report which will contain information on the volume to which the implants were filled.

Answer: Size of Breasts Implants The sticker from the implants are an accurate depiction for the size of the implants. If they were saline, they could be overfilled and the amount should be on your medical records. There may have been limitations on what size could have been used during surgery, but only your PS would know. I would discuss your concerns with your PS.

Answer: Implant size Go to the hospital, or your doctor, and ask for a copy of the operative report, which should say to what volume they were filled. Also, look on your card, get the reference number of your implant, and maker, and look up on-line. The 425 is probably the minimal fill volume, with a much larger recommended maximum fill volume. It is unfortunate that patients see the implant size on their cards and assume that is the fill volume. The surgeon usually writes in the final fill volume on the card.

Answer: Is it possible to find out if my doctor lied about the implant size used for my augmentation? I am sorry to hear about your concerns after breast augmentation surgery. As you know, saline implants can be filled to different degrees (as opposed to silicone gel breast implants that come "pre filled" to specific volumes are are not adjustable). I think that this may be where the confusion lies in your case. Based on your description, the implants utilized are 425 cc breast implants that were then filled to 600 cc. I think that it is most likely that your plastic surgeon do not "lie"; I think that it is more likely that you are disappointed with the breast size (and may benefit from revisionary procedure). Aside from examining the breast implants (which obviously requires an operation), there is no way to double check your breast implant volumes. I would suggest that you simply discuss your concerns/goals with your plastic surgeon in a calm/constructive fashion; most plastic surgeons very much want their patients to be pleased and will do everything they can to help them achieve their desired outcomes. Hopefully, working together you will come up with a good plan to achieve an outcome that you are happier with. Best wishes.
