your case I would consider the least invasive before the surgery.

Thanks for the photo!  Due to the moderate excess skin and loss of elasticity in the upper abdominal area, it appears that you would have likely gotten better results with a mini tummy tuck. I would consult your surgeon to explore more options to remediate this "buckling effect".
