Can a diabetic do laser lipo?

Question

I have been recently diagnosed with diabetes, however I have always wanted to do laser lipo procedure since I am overweight, will this procedure be risky? Tell me all the details, risks and complications tat can be encountered.

Thanks for the question, diabetes can effect every cell in your body thats why all diabetics are at increased risks for complications such as wound healing problems, well controlled diabetics can undergo procedures such as liposuction with minimal excess risk if they are well controlled

Liposuction is not for weight loss and if you are a controlled diabetic you can have liposuction.  I suggest a little bit of weight loss and then use the liposuction for contouring.  Best, Dr. Emer.

It is possible for a diabetic patient to have any kind of liposuction, including laser lipo, it their diabetes is under good control and they are in generally good health.  As with any surgery, there are risks with laser lipo which can include infection, bleeding, seroma (fluid) formation, etc.  Check with your primary physician and your plastic surgeon for risks and recommendations in your case.
