Weird nose post-blunt force trauma - but cautious as nose is tiny from side. Is it worth surgery? (Photos)
In the middle of last year, I was in a period of recovery from eye surgery where I didn't have any vision in one eye (still in that phase, but nevermind). I was moving between two benches at the gym and somehow walked my nose directly into a barbell very quickly, producing a horrifying crunching noise! I got a CT scan afterwards to make sure bones didn't break. They didn't, but I think cartilage must have been harmed, as my nose has been off centre and really strange-looking vertically from the front view. I know rhinoplasty has a higher dissatisfaction rate than many other surgeries and feel very cautious about it as a result, especially because, from the side view, I have a pretty small, upturned nose and I feel it could disappear into nothing if the procedure went wrong. What would be involved in a rhinoplasty to make the vertical appearance of the eye on the front view look normal? Also, is there a way to slightly reduce the bulbosity of the nose on the front view in the process? Can these things be done without "harming" the relatively normal (in my opinion) side view of the nose?
