I had a breast augmentation done in January 2020, at first I was happy with the outcome. I had cleavage and I had some side boob. They appear to be shrinking and flattening out still. They are motiva ergonomix 340cc demi. The pictures I showed my surgeon were about the cleavage I wanted. I no longer have cleavage and even with push-up bras I do not get the desired shape. Can breasts shrink over a cup size between 6-12months post op? Should I have chosen a round and wider implant?
Answer: Round vs Ergonomix Hi, There are a few things to consider. Cleavage in my opinion is dependent on the patient’s shape prior to surgery - if the patient has a wide gap between the breasts beforehand, it is more difficult to achieve cleavage than in a patient whose breasts naturally meet more closely. The plane of implant placement can be a factor as well - in some of the photos you’ve included the implants are probably placed above the muscle - don’t know what plane was used for you. It is common for the initial swelling following surgery to subside over the first year, and in addition as the implants settle into a more natural position - this could equate to a cup size difference from early after surgery. A larger, round implant could give you more upper pole fullness and cleavage, but whether this is a good choice for you depends on your natural dimensions and the goals you are trying to achieve. Hope this helps

Answer: Implants Over the years, I have tried many kinds of implants and have found that smooth round implants give the best results and fewest complications over the long run. I only use smooth round implants for all my augmentation patients. go back to your surgeon and discuss your concerns. Placing the implants behind the muscle will help keep the upper breast fullness and have less sagging from the implant.
