255cc or 285cc moderate plus implants?

You're very smart in doing your homework in anticipation of your breast implant surgery. You and only you should decide on the size. You should also decide on silicone vs. saline. Make a consultation with an expert breast surgeon to explore all your options. This is a very common operation in Las Vegas. One good way is to take your “dream bra” to your consultation and have them use sizers to determine your desired size.

breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small.You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.

There is only about a tablespoon difference between the two sizes. I would suggest going back to your surgeon and actually trying on both sizes so you can see and feel the difference. Both should work well. if you are still uncertain, go with the larger size.

Hello and thank you for your question! This is a very personal decision but I can give you some advice in general terms. First of all, you have chosen a fairly conservative size which is perfect for your dimensions. Secondly, there is not a huge difference between 255 and 285cc. It is literally 2 tablespoons. Thirdly, as a rule of thumb, if deciding between 2 implant sizes that are close together, nearly always best to go with the larger one. Determining the right implant for you is a detailed process. Your surgeon is your expert as she/he has examined you and knows your goals. Of the two implants you are considering, there is only a 30cc difference in volume. This equates to about 2 tablespoons of volume. Either are conservatively sized implants that would produce a natural enhancement.
