Breast pain one year after breast augmentation. How can I tell if this is nerve related or muscle/costochondritis related?

I would suggest go back to your surgeon and be examined. Your pain could be from a variety of things.

Thank you for your question. It is important to see your plastic surgeon for an exam to determine what is causing your breast pain. It is important to rule out Capsular Contracture which if caught early may be able to be treated with non surgical methods. A careful sensopry exam can determine if this pain is nerve pain. Other possible causes are muscle pain if implant under muscle.
