Is a plasma injection necessary after a hair transplant?

I have done the hair implant two days ago in Turkey so before i'm leaving to my home home country the doctor stated that I need to buy a plasma injection, my question is that is it necessary ?

Plasma or Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatment is not necessary after a hair transplant surgery.  There are no clear evidence it works or helps.  It is definitely an additional cost.

Although PRP might help enhance the results of your transplant it is definitely not mandatory.Propecia and/or Minoxidil would probably be more beneficial .Please discuss with your surgeon.

It depends if autologous PRP will be used for speeding up your wound healing process (donor area & recipient areas) after hair transplantation or for hair regeneration (non-transplanted hair). The treatment sucess is related to the centrifuge, PRP preparation, technique of injection, target area (s), frequency of injection, hair loss cause, etc.

its not compulsory but it will definitely boost up the hair growth process..
prp is usually recommended 4 times a year at 6 weeks interval....
