Burning/tingling, soreness 5 weeks after Juvederm. Is this normal? Bottom lip filler seeped below the lip into skin (Photo)

Question

Had 1ml Juvederm filler 5 weeks ago. Bottom lip, left side is burning/tingling sensation constantly sore when touched. It looks/feels like the filler has seeped lower then my lip into my skin. Seeing my injector next week have been told this is a normal occurrence. Bottom lip is now uneven and told the filler will be taken out and I need to pay for more. Wanting opinions, i feel she has made my lips uneven, I’ve been told you signed the paper, you have to pay to fix it. Is this normal practise?

I'm sorry you are having issues with your Juvederm treatment.  The symptoms you are experiencing are not typical.  Fortunately hyaluronidase can be injected to dissolve the product if you are unhappy. Hopefully you will be able to get some assistance from your injector, if not you may want to find a different injector.

Definitely NOT a normal practice. If any injector tells you that material leaking out of your body is “normal” then that’s your que that you need to find another injector or medical provider. After you meet with your injector, I highly recommend you to find a new reputable injector for your future work.
