I have had 2 lipo surgeries for lipodema of legs. The 1st concentrated on thighs/saddlebags, the 2nd on hips/flanks to help reduce appearance of buttocks. There's a pocket of small saddlebag area on each hip which my surgeon says is fluid, but I fear this is an area of fat instead that was missed between the 2 ops as I had no bruising in this area. I'm only 5 days post second operation so I'm still waiting for fluid/swelling to reduce - but do you only bruise in areas where it was operated?

Liposuction is the preferred treatment for Dercum's disease, if this is possible.Sometimes excision is necessary to get rid of large symptomatic areas where liposuction would leave a large amount of excessive skin.
Thank you for asking about your leg liposuction and lifting.Congratualtions on your weight loss - quite an achievement. You clearly lost of a lot of leg weight, because the skin is so loose - even if proportionally less than elsewhere on your body.I don't think surgery alone will be a problem ...
