Have you ever heard of adiposis dolorosa or Dercum's Disease? Its a known rare disease of multiple painful lipomas (Photos)

Thank you for sharing your photographs.  Dercum disease is a rare condition of abnormal fatty tissue growth.  Is there a specific question that you have regarding it?

Liposuction is the preferred treatment for Dercum's disease, if this is possible.Sometimes excision is necessary to get rid of large symptomatic areas where liposuction would leave a large amount of excessive skin.

I have treated several patients with Dercum's disease.  It can respond to excisional treatment of the most affected areas, however I have found that liposuction of the most symptomatic areas tends to achieve a better success rate, albeit with a moderate possibility of recurrence of some of the symptoms.
