How can I get rid of lump after wearing a tight garment?

In our experience 3 weeks is still very early on in your recovery process. You likely still have a lot of residual swelling. We recommend our patients wear their compression garments 24/7 for the first 2 weeks and then switch to spanx compression shorts or a faja that is tight to continue wearing for 2 more weeks. We also provide foam for patients to use between their skin and the garment that tends to flatten the area very nicely, though it is temporary since they are still swollen, but the swelling is more evenly distributed and patients seem to be very happy when using that in addition to the garment. You could always consult with your surgeon to see if they have this sort of foam available.

 Any concerns of the compression garment being too tight or not fitting properly should be addressed in person with the plastic surgeon.  The compression garment could cause a burn or pressure necrosis if too tight.
