Thanks for your question.  This is not too uncommon for areas such and Thighs, knees, calf or ankles as they tend to be smaller areas that when treated can disrupt nerve fibers, has localized inflammation that can compress nerves and I have noted to be more painful for out patients.  If your incisions have closed, then using regular heat soaks can be ideal, or if still with open wounds then just using warm compress to avoid over saturating open wounds.  Everyone has different pain perception, but I have avoided giving out additional prescriptions by having patients use some of our natural healing modalities offered, including hyperbaric oxygen therapy but also supplementation to promote tissue healing has been beneficial as well.  Movement is always best, even if done while seated, to promote increased blood flow to your treated areas and allow for healing.
