Thanks for your question.  This can be a challenge to determine by yourself so close after procedure completed, but you should expect fluid to be present after this type or procedure for a few weeks.  As your body heals from the procedure, you should notice less movement of any area if there is fluid present.  We always schedule a few follow up visits with our patients to discuss any concerns they have, as well as to document the recovery and ensure satisfaction.  If you continue to have concerns, then please follow up with your treating provider.

Dear post Liposuction,The swelling doesn’t start to go down until about two weeks. Main healing happens over the first 6-8 weeks, and does improve up to a year.Exercise and smooth compression garments will help the healing most optimally.Best. Dr Brecht
