I had liposuction done to my abdominal area 10 days ago. I'm very frustrated because I just spent thousands of dollars and I can barely tell a difference in my body. My doctor says it's just that I'm still swollen bit i personally think he just simpliy didn't take enough fat out. But if it's really just the swelling that's discouraging me, about how many inches of swelling is normal?

Answer: Liposuction Ten days after liopsuction is an odd time to try and determine the results of the procedure. Body Contouring results take months before the final results are realized. If you are not using compression all of the time the you are undermining your own results. Meaning it will take longer to actually see the results.

Answer: Liposuction Recovery Many liposuction patients in the first week or two after surgery can look just like they did before and weight even more due to swelling and fluid retention. The amount of traumatized tissues are extensive and the body responds accordingly. You will need to wait until at least 6 weeks after surgery to begin to make a determination as to the general success of the procedure and a full three months to critique the final result.
