Hi, I’m considering getting a non-surgical rhinoplasty and wanted to know if this procedure would be right for me. My main concern is the tip of my nose, which I feel is too droopy, and it affects how my face looks from the front. I would love to know if a non-surgical rhinoplasty can lift the tip to make it more perky and balanced, without the need for surgery

Answer: No, sorry, "non-surgical rhinoplasty" cannot help. More ... In a "non-surgical" rhinoplasty, filler is injected into the nose. When you put something *in*, the nose gets *bigger*. Wider, longer, more projecting -- something along the lines of *bigger*. You can't make any measurement *smaller* by putting something *in*, and you want the length of the nose to be smaller. And the filler can't push anything up; it just sits where you put it. It doesn't do any work. And even if it could, the length of your nose, the droopiness of the tip, is controlled by the size and position of the two cartilages that form the tip of your nose. They won't allow the tip to come up unless they are modified, and that's a rhinoplasty. Everything in rhinoplasty, like in woodworking, or orthopedics, is supposed to make mechanical sense. And it's never made sense to me that you can make a nose smaller by adding something under the skin!

Answer: Fillers in the Nose and Blindness I have had the opportunity to meet someone as a patient who came in for a rhinoplasty. She had undergone nasal filler injection in Vegas and went blind in one eye within 5 minutes. Your nose looks beautiful. Do you really want to take a chance on fillers in the nose? If you do, then please ask the injector if they have the knowledge and training to prevent blindness and to address it immediately if it happens. Regards Dr. Janjua
