Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, it is difficult to determine what treatments might work for you without at least a photo or two. I offer some different options in non-surgical skin tightening for patients that want to firm up the skin without going under the knife. Thermage and Ultherapy are two procedures that work deep into the dermal structure to constrict tissue and produce more collagen for skin that is noticeably tighter and smoother. Thermage uses radiofrequency energy to heat the lower dermal layers. The heat causes tissue to tighten and stimulates the body to produce more collagen. Ultherapy works in a similar fashion, but uses ultrasound energy instead of radiofrequency. The device also delivers the heating more deeply, for even more dramatic results for most patients. Both of these procedures are done in the office without the need for anesthesia. There is no downtime afterward. Results appear over time and can last for many months or even years in some cases. Make sure you work with a board-certified dermatologist to ensure you procedure is safe and you achieve the best possible results.
Laxity along the jawline is common. There are non-surgical procedures available to improve the jawline and neck. Endolift Laser is a remarkable procedure using a fiber placed beneath the skin to tighten skin and smooth out fat. This in conjunction with PDO threads to reposition fallen tissue and stimulate collagen are ideal.
Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon
An in person evaluation is best to determine a recommendation. Depending on the severity of the sagging you may be a candidate for FaceTite. This minimally invasive procedure uses RF technology to tighten the skin of the neck and face. You can combine this with Morpheus8 to optimize results. See an expert provider near you to learn more.
Dear patient depended on how much of the sagging we are dealing.if it is a lot I do recommend with Agnes Radio frequency you desolve the fat the follow it with Y Lift procedure. the result should last for 2 years.good luck and best of health
HiThere are many choices of non-surgical rejuvenation (facelifts)available depending on what you need.Aging can affect the skin loosening, wrinkle formation and blemishes(so-called age spots), loss of fat underneath the skin resulting in wrinkle formation, re-distribution of fat ; e.g., increasing fat in the neck and loss of fat in the cheeks, weakness and drooping of he facial muscles, thinning of the lips and so on. Each of these can be treated non-surgically with great success, for instance, using Instalift for tightening of skin, fat injection for filling up loss of fat, chemical peeling for skin blemishes and so on. You should consult a plastic surgeon who does all the different types of treatment and not to someone who does only one thing and not the others. Or you may even find out that perhaps surgery is best for you.Good luck and best wishes.Victor Liu, MD, FACS
Hi and thank you for your question! As pointed out, there is no magic bullet or a single-size-fit-all when it comes to liquid facelift and the best approach for each patient can be quite different. Generally speaking, a combination of filler treatments, PDO thread lift and energy-based skin tightening treatments such as Ultherapy can achieve good results for sagging jowls without surgery. I highly recommend that you do a consultation with a physician experienced in liquid facelift to be able to discuss all the options and determine the best approach for you. I hope it helps and good luck!
Photos would have been helpful. However, in general, age-related skin sagging and jowl formation can be easily and quickly treated these days (engendering immediate "Wow!" reactions) via use of injectable volumizing fillers. In general, volumizing fillers placed in areas such as the cheeks can improve not only the under eye area, but regions below, such as the smile lines and to some extent the marionette lines around the mouth and the jowls along the jawline. Volumizing filler placed in the chin region not only increase chin projection that comes with age-related volume loss, but helps to straighten jowly jawlines. Moreover, volumizers placed directly in the appropriate pre- and post-jowl indentations can further help to lift and straighten sagging jawlines. You would do well to consult with an experienced board certified aesthetic physician and be sure to ask to see his/her before and after photos before agreeing to proceed. Best of luck
Unfortunately, non-surgical solutions can only lift so much. Most are relatively subtle in their ability to lift the jowls or improve the neck. A surgical lift would be the answer. Some techniques can easily be performed in the office setting using local anesthetic. These techniques can be very powerful and give patients incredible lift with a very natural appearance. Sagging jowls and laxity of the neck are the two reasons why my patients seek face lift procedures. Although there are lasers like the Skin tyte and FaceTite procedures and thread lifting procedures, neither one of these procedures will provide the lift and the longevity of the lift to the jowls and neck that a face lift will provide. You may be a candidate for a small incision face lift and may have your procedure performed under IV sedation. I would discuss your questions with an experienced face lift surgeon who offers all of these alternatives and they will tell you the best options for your particular needs.
