I had HIFU a couple of weeks ago. What are the risks/dangers if I have another session performed right away?

Is there any reason to not get a second HIFU session performed on my neck after only 2 weeks? My face from the treatment looks fantastic (I mean...amazing results). My neck needs another shot. Just wondering if I need to wait for some reason or if it's safe to have a second treatment performed right away, to hit it a little harder.

Having two treatments so close together is not a good idea. Some think that it is a bad idea in that neo-collagenisis may be adversely impacted. Best to wait and see if your happy once your swelling is gone. Best,Michael Kulick MD

Sometimes, due to a patient not being able to tolerate the pain, I have to stop an Ultherapy treatment after using the deeper transducer. I would have the patient come back when they are ready to do the superficial transducer. The results are not compromised. If you had a complete treatment, you should give it 4-6 months to see the final results. You can certainly do another treatment at a different depth from your previous treatment to further improve the results. Or, get an IPL this works very well in conjunction with HIFU by targeting any discoloration.

There really is no contraindication to performing a second treatment so close to the first, however, you haven't given the first treatment time to heal and create its improvement. You may get a great result from one treatment. you are probably looking at swelling....your result may diminish in time. So wait and see what happens.
