Is it safe to have surgery if you have hair extensions?

im having a brazilian butt lift surgery and am wondering if it is ok to have hair extensions in..they are not the clip in ones so its harder to remove cause they are glued in or fused in.

Regarding hair extensions, if only adhesive is used it's fine, but metal is not (microbeads). Metal can act as arc to the cautery used during surgery. Everywhere there's metal attached to the body, there is a chance of a spark or burn.While it's not sure to happen, there's no guarantee it won't so it is best that you remove them.

Yes.  You should be able to keep your extensions in during surgery if you let your surgeon know.  Best of luck.

You can safely keep your hair extensions during surgery . If they are long and heavy , make sure you put them in a pony tail  or wrap around your head ,  before you go in the OR , for easier management during your surgery process.Best wishes
