Scalp pigmentation.i am having long hairs but some parts have thin down so i am plannig to go for scalp pigemntation?could you please advice me on this.and is partial hair transplant possible?The pigment consists of Iron Oxide, which according to the clinics is readily present in the body naturally The main difference between a tattoo and SMP is that SMP is semi-permanent and uses a completely natural pigment. It uses specialist pigments created for the scalp only, not tattoo ink.is it true

Scalp MicroPigmentation pigments that contain iron oxide will likely turn green or blue as the iron oxidizes over time.Pigments that contain iron oxide look great at first but it looks worse over time.

Aashid,Thanks for the question. At Arocha Hair Restoration we used only 100% organic pigments. They will not cause any changes in the scalp that affect it's ability to perspire or cool off. As organic pigments they can be metabolized over time.Hence, they will eventually thin and fade.If the effect is desired then it can be mantained.

Scalp micro pigmentation is the application of tiny dots of pigment very superficially into the scalp, about 1/2 mm deep.  Tattoos are typically applied deeper and thus last permanently.  There are different pigments that can be used for SMP.  Typically these pigments, in combination with the fact that they are applied more superficially, will last about 3-5 years, depending on multiple factors (type of ink, technique of technician, scalp conditions, etc).  SMP does not affect your ability to absorb water.
