Is laser lipo or smartlipo safe on the face (neck, chin, jowls, cheeks)? (photos)

I'm Looking for a surgeon that can do this laser liposuction, I was told by a few surgeons on a consultation that laser liposuction above the jowl line could damage the nerves, would it damage it forever or just for a few weeks? I was told by one surgeon he can do it but I haven't seen any photos about it.

Thanks for the question, yes your docs are correct you dont need the laser above the jaw line, when I do this procedure I use the laser in the neck and not in the jowls I also use the lightest suction settings for the jowls, good luck

Smart lipo works great on the neck. The same energy can be used to help treat the jowl. I have never seen a nerve injury from this.

Liposuction of the neck and jowls is fantastic for contouring and shaping.  Ensure you go to a top doctor who does this often because you can be left with some serious problems in this area if the procedure is not done properly. Hello. Thanks for your questions and photos. I would avoid laser liposuction above the jawline to minimize the chances of a transient or permanent injury. You will benefit most from laser liposuction under the chin(submental region). Fat removal in this area will redefine your jawline. Good luck!

I use laser liposuction for the chin, and avoid using it on the face to avoid damage to nerves. However, there are other safe treatments for skin tightening for the face, like radiofrequency treatment, or even facelift surgery. I would suggest meeting with a board certified plastic surgeon and discuss your options.
