The procedure should be safe if done by trained hands.  However, remember it is not surgery, and no fat cells are being removed.  Not everyone sees fat reduction by this and similar non-surgical treatments, whether fat is "melted" or "frozen."  When you go for consultation, ask how many of their patients actually see results, and how many do not. Surgery will give results.
