Is Vevazz Laser-like Lipo safe?

I am considering getting 6 treatments of laser-like lipo with the Vevazz Vision system. I was told that Vevazz has been around since the 80s, but I can't find any possible long-term effect warnings. Is this process truly safe? I don't want cancer later on just to lose some inches now...

Hi, it is hard to assess without information on how much fat you want to remove or the condition of your skin. Safety and effectiveness varies greatly between patients and facilities. Since the procedure you mentioned is from the 80s, I would suggest you also look into the more modern procedures available as they have recent tests and studies that are also matched to your current needs. It is best to find a board-certified surgeon that has extensive experience with your case and discuss realistic goals and expectations. The procedure should be safe if done by trained hands.  However, remember it is not surgery, and no fat cells are being removed.  Not everyone sees fat reduction by this and similar non-surgical treatments, whether fat is "melted" or "frozen."  When you go for consultation, ask how many of their patients actually see results, and how many do not. Surgery will give results.

A device that has been around since the 1980s and is virtually unheard of is most likely to offer very little results.I don't think I can say it any better.If the procedure is free and you would like to try it, I doubt it will cost you any long-term damage.In general, any procedure that really works has the ability to cause complications.Anything allowed to be used by the lay public is probably not going to give significant results, if any.I would not invest a significant amount of money or have anything other than low expectations for results.Best of luck,Mats Hagstrom, M.D.
