Crown hurts when I bite crunchy foods. What can I do?

I got a crown a few months ago. I can't eat anything crunchy. This is a vital tooth. It really hurts to eat anything crunchy, but I can chew soft things. It's also VERY cold sensitive. What do you think is going on? I don't think it is too high... but it is a zirconium crown (tooth #19) and I'd be so dismayed if it did end up being too high, b/c how in the world are you supposed to remove a strongly glued zirconium crown?! Thanks a lot, docs! You guys are the best!

No it would not be necessary , its normal to have sensitivity,and it can last up to 2 months , but just in case you will need it , unfortunately you will need to re do the crown or just perofir a hole through it , but is not the best way to go , due to infiltration

Yes, the dentist should have a 'special' kit to adjust and polish zirconia. It is a very strong material, and should not have any ill-effects to minor adjustment.If it's a large adjustment, or there are other things you don't like in addition to the length, it may be best to get them remade....

Hello, you should not remove or attempt to remove a silver crown unless it's on a loose baby tooth. If the crown has already fallen off, you can leave it off and get it remade by visiting a dentist. If it's loose, forcing it off could further break the tooth or crown. This is especially...
