I've tried almost every other treatment.
Answer: Rolling Acne Scar treatments Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis for most deep scars. The options available for acne scars depend on the character of your scars, in terms of topography and contour. We see atrophic and hypertrophic acne scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. We begin each scar evaluation with an assessment of scar quality and subtype. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Patients should start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for active hyperpigmentation. Always begin with a consultation to decide whether early subcision should be started. Answer: Subcision Works Well For Elevating & Smoothing All Kinds Of Indented Scars No surprise at all that the other treatments used so far were of little value. I have been cautioning my regular followers for years now not to be sucked in by the heavy marketing hype and social media buzz for fraxel lasers, RF devices, as well as other expensive, "bells and whistles" gizmos being hawked out there. The hard science to back up claims for these so-called light and energy-based devices simply lags well behind the hype, as you have learned the hard way. Subcision, which I have been performing since 1995 and has a very long track record for safety and efficacy,, works well for elevating and smoothing Indented scars of all kinds in all skin types. You would be wise to consult with an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist scar treatment specialist. Best of luck going forward.

Answer: Subcision for forehead scars? Englewood Cliffs NJ Subcision is the procedure where a needle is inserted under the skin to break up scar tissue and stimulate collagen production, reducing the appearance of your rolling acne scars. Adding Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) involves injecting a concentration of platelets from the your blood into the scar area, promoting tissue regeneration. When used together, subcision can release the tethering of the scar tissue while PRP can enhance the healing process, leading to smoother skin texture over time. Typically, multiple sessions may be needed for optimal results. Find a scar expert. Jeff Rapaport Realself Hall of Fame Castle Connolly Top Doctor

Answer: Subcision Subcision by itself tends to not give quality improvements. Simply cutting contractile scar tissue is just going to create more scar tissue that again contracts. The treatment in conjunction with some type of volume restoration is probably better. These are notoriously difficult problems to treat and I think there is substantial dissatisfaction from many people undertaking acne scar treatments. Selective, direct excision is still the gold standard for severe acne scars. I recommend you ask providers to show you an extensive collection of long-term before and after pictures before committing to any procedure. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
