Subcision for laparoscopic scars? (Photo)

Question

I am wondering if subscision (instead of another invasive operation) could work for this laparascopic scar? The skin is indented and stuck to the underlying structures. I am two months post op and doubt it will improve. any advice appreciated. thanks

I have been routinely performing subcisions since 1995 and have used it for elevating and smoothing all kinds of indented scars whether from acne, chickenpox, trauma or surgery (as in this case). The important thing is that you consult with an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist. Hope this helps and best of luck.

Simply cutting scar tissue tends to simply form more of the same.
Sometimes adding small amounts of fat grafting in conjunction with releasing the scar tissue with a proper device, such as Aveli may have a better chance of long-term success, then substation alone
It’s not uncommon for scar contractors to return.
Sometimes committing to a more extensive procedure, maybe more successful, and sometimes it simply makes the situation worse.
There is some inherent uncertainty with complex situations.
It may seem excessive, but sometimes well done abdominal liposuction can help alleviate scar tissue, contracture related, abdominal contour, irregularities
