Stomach Looks Bigger 1 Month Post-op Lipo

Hi! I had liposuction for my abs and neck 1 month ago. I'm actually a really lightweight person (male, 125 lb), so it wasn't a huge procedure, just had some trouble spots. Well, my stomach looks a bit bigger than before the surgery. And my neck area doesn't look different at all. Is 1 month too early to tell if there's a problem?

Gentle ambulation shortly after surgery is actually encouraged and can begin almost immeddiately. In fact, it is undesireable to remain at bed rest.

Swelling may be prolonged in the lower abdomen, suprapubic area. It may feel quite hard. Warm compresses may help provided your surgeon agrees for you to do them. Your surgeon can see you and reassure you that there is no collection of blood underneath (hematoma).

Appetities can be altered by your increased metablolism after surgery. Certainly protein requirements are increased and you should supplement. The antibiotics used during surgery can influence your intestinal flora and narotics can slow you bowels. All of these combine to have differing...

We do this thru an irregular trchophytic incision that we developed 30 years ago. The hair will grow thru the incision and your hairline can remain the same or lowered if you so desire. This is better than in the hair.

WE have all of our patients wear a comfortable, custom fitted compression garment for 4 weeks after liposuction. I encourage patients to return to their activity schedule ASAP, because I believe it accelerates healing and recovery. Your body position will not affect your liposuction results....
