Why could I sometimes experience swelling in the injected areas (usually when I wake up in the morning)?

Greetings. I am 30 yr old female who's had Amalian Fillers injected to cheeks and lips about 3 years ago. I know they say it can last up to a year but to be honest I think mine is still visible (I can feel the Filler still). I am very pleased that it after so many years still is visible results but sometimes I experience swelling in the injected areas - usually when I wake up in the morning. It's like water is retained and the area is a little sore during these "reactions". Why could this be?
