Hi had my surgery in Turkey 2 years ago, at first it was straight and not swollen from the inside. But theb it got swollen ob one side mostly, and now it still looks like that. How can i know if its swollen or crooked?? Can i use something to help? :(
Answer: The asymmetry at the base of your nose may be from a deviated nasal septum. If you look closely at your nasal base photograph, you can see the appearance of the nasal septum in your left nasal cavity that appears to be pushing your columella to the right. If this is the case, straightening this out maybe achievable. I do not think this is swelling since you are long after your surgery. Thank you for your question. Sincerely, Dr. Joseph

Answer: Rhinoplasty Hello! Thank you for your question. As far as I can see from your photos there are bumps from your nose and at the same time there are inequalities in your nostrils, for this I definitely recommend you a revision operation, it is possible to get a more harmonious nose to your face with a single operation. It would be better face to face consultation. Best Regards!

Answer: Rhinoplasty I see that your columella, the part between the nostrils is crooked. It could be from a cartilage graft or crooked cartilage in the lower edge of the septum. If either of those are the problem it’s simple to correct without doing the whole nose over again

Answer: Deviation after Rhinoplasty Hello, This appears to be structural rather than soft tissue swelling. There are a few reasons why a nose can look straight initially and deviate over time. One potential issue is that cartilage has memory and can bend over time to its previous position. Another is that if the cartilage is not secured well enough or the nose doesn't have enough stability, it can start to deform ... imagine a house built of weak materials that starts to tilt to one side. It can also occur from injury that loosens connections between the cartilages, bends them, or fractures them. Yet in other cases, the deviation is present initially after surgery as well but it is hidden by the initial swelling and becomes more visible when the swelling resolves. In either case, I am sorry to say there is no simple fix. This would require a revision rhinoplasty to straighten out and support the structures of the tip in the midline. Good luck!

Answer: Nose results It's difficult, based on the pictures, to comment on the external deviation of the nose. However, the basal view reveals a significant left septal deviation. This is obstructing a significant portion of your left nasal passage. Septal deviation may, at times, cause external deviations of the nose as well.
