Swelling of the lower face 6 months after rhinoplasty

Question

I had rhinoplasty 6 months ago and now my swelling is finally going down. At the same time my lower face got swollen. I know that the nose can take a year to fully heal. How long does the face swelling (caused by the surgery) take to fully heal? A year too?

Did your facial swelling happen suddenly, or has this been gradually occurring since surgery? Your nose was made smaller during surgery, perhaps it is making other facial features look larger. Since this sounds atypical, it may be a good reason to pay a visit with your surgeon and to review before and after photos to definitively address your concerns. I hope this helps. At six months, you should no longer have swelling after surgery.
The face heals quickly, and while very small amounts of swelling can’t have an impact on detail rhinoplasty outcomes the amount of swelling after six months is barely visible.
Your results are now final or very close to final. I don’t think you could see a difference in pictures by waiting further.
 to make an accurate assessment regarding the outcome of a plastic surgery procedure we generally need to see quality before and after pictures.
