Dear Doctors I had hair transplant before one month .can I uses the IGrow hair helmetand dose any disadvantages if I uses it on my new hair Thanks

Here at my practice we have been using lasers since 2003. I was very skeptical at first but I have seen first hand the benefit of using LLLHT.You typically don't need lasers to make the hair transplant grow if the surgery has been done properly in the first place however, what the laser is doing #1 is helping the new hair get out of the resting phase quicker etc... and #2 it nourishes and strengthens your original hair and will turn the weak miniaturized hairs into strong healthy hair. And if the shedding has decreased, that could lead to less hair transplants in the future.Now the iGrow is a nice unit but unfortunately you have to be plugged into an electrical outlet for 30 minutes and it is fairly uncomfortable to wear. Some of the newer models such as Capillus 272 run on a battery and its all laser diodes. (No Red LED'S)You would not want this device to touch the scabs until after day 10. Always check with your Doc for help etc...Please review the attached link to a recent study that came out on the benefits of lasers on the scalp .

You need to ask your surgeon about post op care.  Ask your surgeon if you want to use a laser helmet.

Check with your surgeon - the surgeon who performed the procedure. Usually I don't have a problem with patients using LLLT devices after surgery. Of course there are exceptions so check with your surgeon.

Yes, you can use this if you wish. A well done hair transplant will not benefit from this technology, so why use it? I have written extensively on this subject, see listing of the articles I wrote below in the web refence.

You should be completely healed at this point. Once you are healed you can return to your normal activity.  However, I suggest that you check with your doctor first.
