I replaced my old implants in 2017 bc they were ruptured. The surgeon who wasn't the original (he passed on) put in the same size and now they are uneven due to my scoliosis. Now afraid to have them fIx in fear this will happen again.
Answer: Plastic surgery training Make sure that you are seeing a board certified or board eligible plastic surgeon. Other than that, all should be well trained in managing patients like you. This being said does not make it any less challenging. Everyone has natural asymmetries in their breast shape and size and patients with scoliosis tend to have more of these asymmetries. I would return to your surgeon and discuss the areas that you wish to have improved. Here she is likely to be able to talk about what they are able to improve and what would be too difficult and risky

Answer: Breasts Board certified plastic surgeon should be trained to help make you more even. However, if the scoliosis is very noticeable, the problem may not be with the breasts, but the back. During the consultation, you will be examined and can discuss your options.

Answer: Revision surgery Dear imdoingitforme, breast revision surgery is the most difficult plastic surgery procedure performed. Botched breast surgery alters normal tissue planes and laxity, the ability of breasts to heal properly, and leaves scar tissue that dramatically affects the level of difficulty of the corrective surgery. Many patients come in to correct poor outcomes from their initial surgeries. The most common problems are due to implant malposition, bottoming out of the implant, poor scarring, and incorrect implant size. While the type of revision required will depend on the result of the previous surgery and the desired result of the patient, some revisions involve extensive pocket repair that may or may not need specialized external bras.If you are considering breast surgery revision, you should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon and have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Also, you have to make sure that your surgeon understands your breast augmentation goals.
