During rhinoplasty, the septum is often manipulated as is the base of the nose just above the lip. Each of these things may cause swelling and sensitivity of the lip for a couple weeks or so after surgery. It should gradually resolve. The body aches may be from simply not ambulating enough after surgery. It is important to continue to move around after surgery. If they continue, be sure to inform your surgeon.
