Facial asymmetry exists, to some degree in everyone. Some patients have prominent asymmetry and some are very subtle. This is symmetry can be seen in the position of the eye, the nose, the jawline and the volume in the face. Facial asymmetry is a universal phenomenon that affects everyone to varying degrees. There are differences in the positioning and size of facial components, making one side of the face appear slightly larger than the other.

Trying to achieve perfect symmetry is essentially impossible and often results in outcomes that are less than satisfactory. When asymmetry is severe, it can be worth pursuing improvements. However, with mild asymmetries, attempts to correct them can frequently lead to disappointment.

Evaluating the asymmetry on just one view is deceptive, because it does not integrate the information about the three-dimensional asymmetry of the face. Because of this, the attempts to change the asymmetry from one view leads to some potential anomalies from other angles.

In your case, my impression is that the level of asymmetry is relatively mild and does not warrant intervention. The asymmetry visible in your photographs is well within the normal range and is not something that typically requires correction.

Some degree of facial asymmetry is normal. Volume augmentation with the use of intra-dermal fillers may aid in correcting slight asymmetry. Major surgery may not be indicated because the ability to achieve perfect symmetry would still be limited to underlying anatomy.
