Usually rib cartilage does not resorbed. Grafted bone commonly does. Rib cartilage is more likely to warp however.
Dear aahi~Rib cartilage does not generally resorb significantly after rhinoplasty. The major issue with rib cartilage is that it can warp or change shape. Depending on how the cartilage is used and secured, the graft(s) can also shift position over time.Best wishes,Amy
The rib is an excellent source when extra cartilage is needed for rhinoplasty. There are reasons that it isn't a first choice however. The scar is visible and harvesting is painful. There is also a small but real possibility for a hole into the chest cavity resulting in a collapsed lung. So septal cartilage and ear cartilage usually are used before rib. Sometimes however more cartilage is needed or the other choices have been harvested already so the rib is selected.Absorption does not occur with rib cartilage unless there is some issue with infection. This cartilage can warp but your surgeon will take steps to limit warping. Since this cartilage is firm it is usually easier to feel than other donor cartilage. Best of luck to you.
From the photographs it looks as though your expectations of a rhinoplasty realistic. I would recommend video imaging with the plastic surgeon who does lots of rhinoplasties to make certain you and the surgeon are in agreement with what can be accomplished in the operating room.
If you're healthy the combination of rhinoplasty plus breast augmentation in liposuction can be easily done in one sitting.

Swelling is present for several months after an open rhinoplasty. Be patient and follow up with your surgeon. If a little additional rasping needs to be done, you can discuss with your surgeon in a few months time.
Based on your photo, it looks as though there may have been a very slight separation in your incision line which resulted in the bleeding, but it should heal fine with appropriate care. Cleaning the incision line gently with peroxide diluted in distilled water (1:1) and keeping the...
