Do wisdom teeth affect size of masseter muscles? Recently had masseter botox (Photo)

Thank you for sharing your question and photograph.  Because wisdom teeth are found within the alveolar bone of the mouth they would not impact on the size of your masseter muscles.  Masseter hypertrophy is more likely due to gum-chewing, genetics, or grinding of the teeth.  Hope this helps

Though there were some clinical reports suggesting that impacted wisdom teeth may be a trigger for teeth grinding which in turn may affect the size of your chewing muscles (masseter) I am not aware of any research done to provide direct correlation. So the common consensus is that the size of chewing muscles is determined by their functional activity paired up with genetic factors affecting overall jaw biomechanics. But if your wisdom teeth bother you even occasionally, then have them evaluated and extracted if indicated.
