I still have significant swelling and hardness 5 months post tummy tuck, wore compression garment for 4 months. Swelling is painful and tender to the touch

Hello. Great question. I will suggest getting clearance from both your cardiologist and neurologist. Having achieved that, I will suggest having a personal examination with a board certified plastic surgeon for a detailed surgical plan to achieve your desired results.

From your description, I think it is unlikely that you harmed the muscle repair. It could be some muscle pain from strain or spasm.  Some pain at this point after surgery is to be expected. If your symptoms worsen or if you remain concerned, just see your surgeon.  Best of luck.
