i had a hole drilled in my bridge to do a root canal in number 19 which apparently was neved finished. i had a check up for another cap issue recently and the dentist i saw now wants to replace this entire bridge which i can not afford in any way. please advise as to any options i have to get this root canal finished and keep my bridge. it is loose now and i must have other work doen so money is a huge issue. thank you

Answer: Sometimes full replacement is best/only choice
It was common practice early dys but now not. now a day its not recommended. because that increases implant failure rate, but when situation is compromised and other options are not open in that case it is advisable.

You definitely need to get the abscess taken care of, as it will only cause you increased pain and infection. If you cannot afford a new bridge, your dentist may be able to remove the abscess from the root tip (called an apicoectomy). Ask your Dr. about this method, as it may save your bridge.
