You definitely need to get the abscess taken care of, as it will only cause you increased pain and infection. If you cannot afford a new bridge, your dentist may be able to remove the abscess from the root tip (called an apicoectomy). Ask your Dr. about this method, as it may save your bridge.

It is definitely better to have the bridge replaced. However, you can have veneers put as new facings on the bridge. A veneer is a thin shell of porcelain or composite that covers the facial surface of the tooth. In your case, the veneers will be made of a composite material.
