Dear Lucia, Thanks for submitting your picture, though, because of the dressing and the elevated arms, it is difficult to assess your result. You say that you are presently 36 C cup. Well, that is a nice size but not big. Since you got 500 cc implants and you are only 36 C, it means that you were 36 very small A cup before surgery. If you wanted to be 36 D cup, you should have gotten, roughly, 650 cc implants. At 5 days after surgery , you are still swollen, so you can expect more reduction in the swelling in the next 2-3 weeks. If you do implants displacement massage, it will help the implants to settle down faster and you will get more projection. If after 3-4 months, you are still unhappy with your breasts size, you can replace your implants with bigger ones. I hope this is felpful. All the best, Dr Widder
You can expect to see changes in your breast shape and appearance over the first 3-4 months following breast augmentation surgery. This is perfectly normal. The implants will settle and the bottom of the breast will fill out while the swelling in the upper breast will decrease. You are very early in your recovery. Give your breasts a chance to settle and after six months, if you are still unhappy, discuss your concerns regarding size with your surgeon.Best of luck,
You are very early in your recovery and there are many changes ahead. The implants will soften and settle in the pocket as you heal. This could influence the way the sit and look in a bra. I know it is hard to be patient, but more time is needed before judging the results. I encourage you to discuss any concerns you have with your surgeon. It is important you feel comfortable and confident in your recovery.
It's too soon to be evaluating your results. Give it a few months to let your swelling go down and implants to settle and re-evaluate at that time because they will change a lot over that time. Try to be patient. ac
I'm sorry to hear about the concerns you have after breast augmentation surgery. It may be helpful for you to know that it is not unusual for patients to feel that they are “too small” or “too big”, early on after breast augmentation surgery. Most patients who feel this way early on, ultimately are pleased with the results of surgery in the longer term. Many patients who feel that they are too small immediately after surgery find, as the breast implants “drop and fluff”, that the breasts actually appear larger to them. I routinely ask my patients to wait at least 3-6 months before evaluating the end results of the breast augmentation surgery. This waiting time allows patients to physically and psychologically adapt to their new body image. Continue to follow up with your plastic surgeon; time and patience will be your best friends. By the way, 500 cc breast implants are relatively large breast implants, given your frame. Best wishes; hopefully, you will be very pleased with the longer-term outcome of the procedure performed.
At 5 days a lot of the swelling associated with your breast augmentation has already resolved. More importantly the implant to spread out over your chest at this point in time and as the breast and muscle tissues stretch and expand to accommodate the implant, the implant position will improve, your breasts will have more projection and should look more natural. I seriously doubt that you will look smaller once the implants have reached their final position.
Hello! Thank you for your question! Breast augmentation is a procedure often sought by women to increase size, add upper pole fullness and projection along with improve shape and symmetry of her breasts. Women who have the breast augmentation done report increased self-confidence, self-esteem,...
It is difficult to tell what is going on from your photos. Whenever you have questions about how something is healing after surgery, it is best to see your plastic surgeon and be examined.Best wishes,Dr. Michelle Spring
Thanks for the question. You should be able to go on vacation by 3-4 weeks after your surgery. But this is valid only with assuming postoperative recovery is uneventful. If any unexpected incident happens in your treatment process, this time can be extended or shortened. I wish you all the best.
