Can I fly 24 hours after Breast Augmentation surgery under twilight anaesthetic?

I am undergoing a Breast Augmentation in October and I am flying down from the Gold Coast to Sydney. The procedure is done under twilight anaesthesia and is day surgery I am unable to stay in Sydney for as long as I want iam hoping to head home late that night either by my partner and I hiring a car and driving back to the Gold Coast or early the next day by flying. I am 25 and I have no previous medical history.Im concerned about the possible risks associated with flying so soon after surgery.

This question really should be directed to your plastic surgeon since he/she is the one most familiar with your case. Each plastic surgeon has their own criteria for resuming pre operative meds.  Best to stick with the advice from your own surgeon.

If you had the appropriate surgery for a hematoma and your surgeon was satisfied that there was no more bleeding.  You should be fine. Too much strenuous activity can reinstitute the bleeding. Please follow your surgeon's instructions carefully as well as keep you follow appointments.

You are still at an early stage of healing and will still have swelling. Post surgery swelling may take up to 3 months to subside completely so I would not be too concerned. You will find that things should improve over time.
