Every time someone of sorts mentions my "big/bulging" eyes. I lose a ton of self confidence.
Answer: Bulging eyes Some people have very prominent eyes. Often this i caused by a medical condition called graves disease or thyroid eye disease. But often it is due to trauma or just being born that way. This can be quite concerning for many people in that it makes them appear intense or not normal. Many patients ask if there is anything that can be done and in the past the answer was not too much at least safel Now that is untrue. We specialize in moving the eyes back or improving this "bulging" appearance for patients using surgical and nonsurgical methods. This is specialized surgery that very few doctors would offer but our group has done thousands of these surgeries and our patients are very happy. Bear in mind that not everyone has bulging eyes even if it can appear that way. The first step is a complete assessment which can often be started online. Once you find out all the options including procedures to camouflage or reduce the appearance of eye bulging, you may decide moving the eyes is not something you want. You should have an evaluation by a qualified oculoplastic surgeon for evaluation and then consider all options.

Answer: Protruding Eyes The first step is to rule out medical causes for this, although unlikely in your case, thyroid eye disease needs to be ruled out. You can see your GP for this. If there are no medical causes found then you can entertain non surgical or surgical options. Hope this is helpful.

Answer: Protuding eyes Thanks for your question. Sorry to hear that you're losing self confidence related to comments from others on your eyes. A consultation with an oculoplastic surgeon would be best to see if you are a candidate for orbital decompression surgery to reduce the prominence of your eyes. Best of luck.
