I look the same as before after BBL (Photo)

Question

BBL on 1/17/18, I mentioned to my doctor that my butt looked the same as before the surgery, he told me it was too soon to see results. 7 days after my surgery, I still can’t see the difference. Yesterday, during my follow-up doctor said he inyected between 275cc and 300cc per cheek, fat was inyected to the upper part and sides of my butt but not to the lower part since according to him, surgeons never inyect fat to that area because it is too dangerous for the patient. What??? Is this true?

I am sorry you are unhappy with your results, at 7 days it is normal to be swollen and bruised, but 275cc is not enough to make a difference looks like you had enough fat to transfer more than that, I would suggest you wait at least 3 months before considering a revision, follow up with your PS to go over your options and help you reach your goal,good luck.

About 60% of fat from the transfer is retained and the results are permanent. The size will change with your weight just as the rest of your body does. In other words, the fat acts like it was naturally there. You can get a good idea of the final result after 6 months.

You have to give your body at least 12 weeks to start seeing results and final results can take 3-6 months depending the way your body heals.

Thank you for your question. You are still in the early stage of healing and swelling is quite common. After a liposuction and brazilian butt lift surgery there is a process of swelling and bruising that peaks at 3 days after surgery and then undergoes the first stage of major resolution in the first 2 weeks after surgery.  The later phase of healing takes place over the 2-3 months after surgery where everything really settles and softens.  It is after this time that we are getting close to the final result, though this varies patient to patient.
