Have cyst on my face in the mustache area. Can this cyst be surgically remove from the inside of my mouth? If not why? (photo)

QandAguy
I have had a cyst on my face for around 5 years now. It is directly above my lip in the mustache area under my left nostril. I used to go to the dermatologist to treat it, and the physician would inject it with medicine that would cause it to shrink, but it would soon grow back. I was told that it would have to be surgically removed, and that it may leave a scar. Can I Have this cyst removed from the inside of the mouth( gum area ) to avoid any facial scaring? If not, why?
