Answer: How to tell if hair grafts were too deeply planted? Hair grafts planted too deeply will appear to grow out of a hole where upon it looks like the skin appears to pull downwards around the shaft of the hair. just like a golf hole with a golf flag inserted in the hole. This may not be the most attractive way for a hair to appear. Sometimes this will self correct after 6-18 months.Other ways to correct it are to punch it out via FUE and replant it in a more natural way.
