How should I treat pimples all over donor area after hair transplant?

I had hair transplant in Turkey 5 weeks ago, 4800 grafts. I have been experiencing shock loss and pimples on my donor area. I am more worried about pimples, they are painful and started appearing after 2 weeks of surgery. I sent my contact in the clinic some pics but he suggested that are in grown hairs. I am worried if this is an infection as they are so many all over donor area. No issue with transplanted area so far. I know you can say much from picture but please advise as much as you can

It is best to see a doctor for an examination if you are having issues.  Pimples or infections should be treated in general.

Sometimes, folliculitis does occur in the donor area post surgery. The best thing will be to visit the surgeon for overall assessment of the donor area. If it is limited, a simple application of antibiotic and very rarely a course of oral antibiotic can be required to solve this problem.

Thank you for posting you question. Pimples on the donor region can be 2 things. Infection, or hair-growth. The best way to treat this, if severe to take antibiotic pills orally and cream. Along with hot/warm showers on the region for 15 minutes a day, twice a day. You should see an improvement within days hopefully.

In my opinion I agree with the likely hood of ingrown hairs being the culprit, although a staph infection is also likely. Ask your clinic and physician as this can only help the situation and especially if it's an infection.

Without seeing your scalp, one can't say. Folliculitis and cysts are causes of 'pimples' post op. Please be sure to see your surgeon for close review

I agree with the excellent advice of my colleagues to see your surgeon ASAP. The only thing I would add is a general caveat for anyone considering having a transplant out of the country: just remember, in the event there is a problem that requires the attention of your surgeon, getting that attention could be a major inconvenience. Assuming you have access to a quality hair transplant clinic close to home, there is a lot to be said for having your surgery done locally.

This is highly unusual and may suggest that you have an infection of your donor area which can be serious. See a doctor ASAP.
