How visible are scars from extracting hair from under the neck/nape?

I understand BHT is a last resort option. If you do it and extract hair from beard/under the chin/back of the neck, how noticeable are the scars? Should you avoid extracting from the beard hair on the face if possible?

With more specialized punches, it is possible to render scars that are not visible (on the nape, neck or other region) to the naked eye following body hair extractions.

Neck hair donor harvesting may cause scarring.  Same is true for facial hair donor harvesting.  These are risks.

Thank you for posting your question. The size of the punch is very crucial and important not to cause further scarring. A punch sizeof .5mm is optimal for beard hair, so minimizes any chances of scaring. A mini-test is also preferred to see how patients would heal post-procedure. Hope this helps.

Neck hair is not permanent and taking hair from the neck causes severe scarring. Beard hair is a good option but not as good as scalp hair for transplants
