Can I get Sliding Genioplasty and Jaw slimming/Vline surgery together? If so, what type of surgeon do I see?

Yes, V-line surgery and genioplasty are often performed at the same time. You would need to find an oral & maxillofacial surgeon or a plastic surgeon who performs this procedure. The chin can be centered with the sliding genioplasty. Jaw slimming and genioplasty are performed in our office with sedation anesthesia and the surgery takes about 2 hours. The bite and teeth are unaffected so you are allowed to eat a diet as tolerated but most people will choose a soft diet for about 5 days.

It is common for me to do these procedures together. The chin and haw are seamlessly connected and it's best to adjust the at the same time for a smooth outcome and easier recovery. The surgery takes about 1 hour, and you can leave the same day.
